For long depositions it’s hard to beat the convenience of a syringe pump. Sure, they cause some pulsing of the electro spray jet because they deliver the liquid by depressing the syringe plunger in tiny steps, but for many practical applications the automation is a worthwhile tradeoff. This low cost syringe pump has everything you need for electrospray without all the medical features you don’t. It accepts our standard glass syringes, can set the flow rate in precisely the correct range for electrospray deposition (0.01 ml/hr to 0.3 ml/hr and much higher if you want), allows tuning the flow rate during the deposition, and has a purge feature to get things started quickly.
